Director's Introduction

Dear Listener,

As you peruse and hopefully enjoy the wide variety of repertoire on this Concert by the California Boys' Choir, it would be fair to the choirboys to remember that most of the sound files you will hear were made during our summer training program, never with a thought they would ever someday be heard on the worldwide web.  Few of these songs were recorded in the concert season, when the patina of repetition and polish would have been heard.  In some cases, songs presented in this Concert were recorded the same or next day after the choirboys learned them!   As time goes by, and as we discover better sounding files, we will replace the existing files, where appropriate.  Regardless of when the recordings were made, we hope you will enjoy them for what they are:  the faint echo of a choir no longer able to sing.
